Frequently asked questions about birthing courses, pregnancy courses, and pregnancy yoga in Amsterdam
It is best to choose a prenatal yoga course that ends at least two to four weeks before your due date. This way, you will have no more obligations during the last few weeks of your pregnancy and you can enjoy ‘cocooning’.
You can find the overview of class dates, times, and locations for the pregnancy yoga course in Amsterdam here. After registration and when the course begins, you can also log in to the website to view the schedule.
- We can put you on the waiting list. Occasionally, someone drops out.
- You can also choose to register for a later pregnancy yoga course. You risk missing the last lesson(s). This doesn’t have to be a problem, as we have recordings of all lessons available. You’ll get access to these on the day your course begins, so you won’t miss any important information.
- If it’s your turn on the waiting list and you’ve registered for a later pregnancy yoga group, we’ll simply transfer you.
After registration, you’ll get access to the digital calendar. Here you can swap lessons or cancel your attendance. This way, you can make up missed lessons with another group.
The topic of each lesson is the same at every location. It’s best if you choose the same lesson to make up. If this isn’t possible, you can choose any pregnancy yoga lesson. You might attend the same lesson twice, but that’s not a problem. This way, you still get your movement, breathing, and relaxation practice.
We can check if there’s another date for a partner class that you both can attend. To swap the partner class, please contact us. As a last resort, you can also attend the partner class with your mother, sister, or close friend. All information is also available in the online learning environment, so you can prepare for the birth with your partner at home. If neither option works, we can arrange a private partner class (this involves additional costs).
You can participate with someone else and review everything in the online environment with your partner. There’s also the option of taking a private partner class, though this involves additional costs.
We are members of the Association of Yoga Teachers Netherlands (VYN) and also have an ABG code, which allows you to submit the invoice to your health insurance provider. You can always request further information from your health insurance provider (including the amount you would be reimbursed).
Included with pregnancy yoga & birth preparation course, you receive free access to an online learning environment containing all course lessons and additional teaching materials (with more than 14 hours of online content). This allows you to continue practicing pregnancy yoga at home after the course and prepare thoroughly for the birth.
The online learning environment for pregnancy yoga is on a different platform. On the day your course begins, you’ll receive an email with all the details needed to create an account there.
